Travel Poster Brazil Varig Airline Rio Carnival Frevo Capoeira. Original vintage double sided South America travel poster for Brasil - Varig airlines featuring a fun and colourful illustration of carnival celebrations depicting people dancing a Frevo dance dressed in white shirts and holding pink umbrellas to music on trumpets with sailing boats on the orange red shaded sea with a bright sun in the background, the Varig logo and stylised blue text under the image; the other side of the poster features a depiction of two capoeiristas in white practising capoeira (the traditional Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music) with a band playing music in front of colourful city buildings, trees and boats below the night sky in the background; both images set within a black border. Viacao Aerea Rio-Grandense / Varig (1927-2006) was the leading airline in Brazil providing both national and international services.
